Interested in Reid Law Firm’s internship or clerkship program?!
Our firm offers fall, summer, and spring programs, which you may apply to at any time. At the Reid Law Firm, we cater the internships and clerkships to the individual needs of the students. Students often are able to receive school credit for their work with us.
I’m a general practice attorney, so many of our applicants are either in law school or plan to attend law school someday. We handle DUIs, unlawful possession, car accidents, divorce, child custody, wills, trusts, estates, contracts, LLCs, and much more! As a law clerk, you’re invited to sit in on client meetings, perform complex legal research, write legal documents, and, at times, attend our clients’ trials!
You don’t have to be in law school though to work with us. In addition to my law practice, I’m also the co-host of a weekly radio show on Yellowhammer News. In a recent poll, seventy three percent of conservative Alabamians said that Yellowhammer was their number one news source. I’m happy to bring interns with me to the recording, for those who are interested in media or politics. Two of Reid Law Firm’s past interns are now employees at Yellowhammer News! I also write articles for state and national outlets. Most recently I have been published and interviewed in “The Hill”, “The Washington Examiner”, “The Washington Times”, and “Yellowhammers News”. I am a frequent commentator on TV as well and will be on NBC’s The Attorneys in a few weeks (WVTM). If you have any interest in media, law, policy, or politics, our program will allow you to make incredible connections in those areas. Lastly, if you’re interested in marketing, I’d love to bring you on to that side of the business. A successful marketing campaign is paramount when it comes to running a business, so I value those with insight in this area.
The Reid Law Firm is undoubtedly a unique work experience. I intentionally choose team members who I believe will work well together. While there is of course work involved, we also make time for fun. The summer interns have gone out to dinner, to the movies, to senatorial debates (which may not have been fun for all of them), and many other excited events! All food and firm events are paid for by Reid Law Firm, and travel is also paid for when the student travels from out of town.
In the past, we’ve had students at Auburn, Alabama, Samford, and Emory with majors in economics, political science, English, public relations, classics, and accounting. My legal assistant actually has a degree in kinesiology! The applicants I’m looking for are hard workers, innovative thinkers, and team players.
